Welcome to Dulux Connect Pakistan
A mobile application designed to enable painters and authorized agents to participate in Dulux product promotions and loyalty schemes using their mobile devices. This document outlines our privacy practices and the terms of use governing your access and usage of the application.
1. Introduction
Dulux Connect is a promotional engagement platform allowing registered users to:
- Scan Dulux product barcodes or manually enter UID codes to earn points
- Participate in promotional schemes and loyalty programs
- Access scan history and scheme details
Your privacy is important to us. We are committed to handling your information responsibly and transparently.
2. User Registration
All users of the Dulux Connect app are registered through a controlled back office system. Users cannot self-register within the mobile app.
User Types:
- Painters: Registered with mobile numbers. Device registration occurs upon first login. To switch devices, contact our support team
- Representatives & Manufacturers: Registered and provided with login credentials via the back office
3. Data Collection and Usage
We strive to minimize data collection and only gather what is necessary to provide our services.
Data We Do NOT Collect:
- No personal data (e.g., name, address, contacts, location, etc.) is collected via the app
- The app does not request or access any permissions unrelated to its core functionality
Data We Collect:
- Scan data from Dulux product barcodes or UID codes
- Device ID (only at first login to register the device for authentication purposes)
This data is used solely to:
- Record user participation in promotions
- Display scan history
- Enable point accumulation and scheme tracking
4. Data Retention
We do not retain or process any personal data within the application. Scan data is retained only for as long as required to fulfill promotional activities and show history within the app. Any data used for login and registration is handled exclusively through the back office system and is outside the mobile app's scope.
5. Scheme Details
Registered users can:
- View active Dulux promotional schemes
- Access scheme descriptions and eligibility by tapping the scheme cards on the homepage
6. Device Management
Your mobile device is registered during the first login. If you wish to change your device or experience any login issues, please reach out to the support team for assistance.
7. Security
We use basic industry-standard practices to safeguard data collected through the app. No personal or sensitive data is stored or transmitted from the device without user registration via back office.
8. Third-Party Services
8.1 SMS Gateway Providers
We use Intellaxal Solution (ITS) SMS Gateway, a third-party service provider, to send SMS messages on our behalf. When your mobile number is used to send an SMS, it may be shared with Intellaxal Solution (ITS) only to the extent necessary to deliver the message.
- Data Shared: Phone number, message content (e.g., OTP, alert)
- Purpose: Service communication, authentication
- Retention: As per provider's policy and legal requirements
8.2 eWallet Payment Systems
Our platform integrates with third-party eWallet provider (E-square Services Pvt. Ltd) to facilitate secure, cashless transactions.
- Data Shared: Name, phone number, transaction ID, amount
- Purpose: Payment processing, fraud prevention
- Security: End-to-end encrypted transactions with PCI-DSS compliant providers
9. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy & Terms of Use from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the app or communicated via official Dulux channels.
